In this session, we will explore ways to analyze an author’s use of figurative language and other literary elements through the words of modern-day poets like Taylor Swift, Harry Styles, and Ed Sheeran. Strategies such as Kaplan’s Depth and Complexity Frames, Stambaugh and Mofield’s Literary Analysis Wheel, the Cross-Impact Matrix, and Thinking Maps will be discussed in this engaging and pop-tacular session!
